The Yorke Trust invites you to
The Christmas Story by Heinrich Schütz
Director – Jennifer Hamilton
Following the success of Handel’s Susanna (July 2017), Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors (Dec 2017) and Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice (July 2018), in this exciting collaboration local choristers will perform along with young professional and student soloists from music conservatoires in a concert performance of The Christmas Story by Heinrich Schütz, a musical setting of the Nativity.
This beautiful oratorio was probably first performed in Dresden in 1660 when the composer was 75 years old and draws on a lifetime’s musical experience.
The performance of this wonderful work will be in The Yorke Trust Old Chapel, South Creake on Friday 21st December at 7.30. Tickets are £15 which includes light refreshments.
Parking is available on the orchard by the chapel or in Church Lane.
Advance booking is essential due to limited seating. Please contact Carol Jennings on 01328 738482 or email@example.com for tickets.
