Alumni

 

The Yorke Trust provides young musicians with a unique experience during their visit to Norfolk. Working in the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside, perhaps studying a new role in the orchard, or sharing experiences with others over a meal; walking by the sea or becoming involved with staging, costume design, sound, lighting, stage management, and even helping in the kitchen.

 

All these things go to create a special atmosphere, quite unlike any other. For some, the voyage of discovery uncovers hidden talent, or perhaps the realisation that there really is a future for them in the music business. For others, the course can signal a change in direction – sometimes a leaning to baroque performance, or occasionally towards a career that lies in management, directing, or coaching.

The South Creake experience has changed the lives of many. A long list of alumni would be meaningless, but among those who have set foot on a rewarding professional life are the following:
